Power Brakes

TDFC Power Brake

The Ductformer TDFC Power Brake is a precision sheet metal fabrication machine engineered specifically for folding HVAC duct flange connectors (TDFC/TDC profiles). While rollformers create the initial flange, our Power Brake is the essential companion for forming the final box shape without crushing the corners.

  • Primary Function: Specialized pneumatic folding for TDFC and TDC ductwork.
  • Application: Critical for high-volume duct beading and edge rolling workflows.
  • Compatibility: Designed to work alongside industry-standard rollformers for complete duct fabrication.

TDFC Power Brake

Beyond great performance, this machine makes shop setup easy. The TDFC Power Brake runs on standard 110V power and clean, dry shop air. As a result, you can skip high-cost wiring and messy hydraulic oil.

Boost Production Speed with the American-Made TDFC Power Brake

What makes this brake better than a standard hand brake for TDFC?

Ordinary brakes often crush or distort TDFC/TDC flanges. The Ductformer Power Brake uses segmented spaced bars and an alignment blade specifically designed to clear the flange, ensuring a perfect 90° bend every time without damaging the joint.

What is the “staged clamping” safety feature?

Safety is our priority. The machine will not engage full pressure until the beam is less than 1/4″ from the metal. Additionally, releasing the foot pedal immediately retracts both the clamp and form beams, preventing accidental injury.

Can it handle lined ductwork?

Yes. The upper beam is recessed to allow for lined ductwork to be bent without crushing the insulation pins, making it a versatile choice for both standard and specialty grease duct applications.
